Cadet Care - Before & After School Program
Fun with a purpose!
The Recreation Academy’s unique Extended Day Programs, known as "Cadet Care," are designed to foster students' learning and growth in a safe, supportive environment. Each program is thoughtfully crafted to meet the specific needs of your school community and is fully supported by our dedicated team, including an Area Manager, Site-Specific Coordinator, and skilled Instructors. This allows us to alleviate the burden on your administrative staff by seamlessly integrating within your school's existing framework.
Philosophy and Values: Our programs are built on a foundation of safety and supervision, ensuring that children can develop, learn, socialize, and have fun. We are committed to fostering inquiry, creativity, and achievement while promoting integrity, compassion, and respect. We believe in the dignity and worth of each individual and encourage children to make choices and actively explore their own environment. Our cooperative effort with families, staff, and children aims to maximize self-esteem, self-worth, self-respect, and self-control.

Expert Facilitation and Engagement:
Experienced, background-checked staff facilitate programs, maintaining a 1:15 staff-to-participant ratio. Activities change every 30-60 minutes and are discussed to enhance educational value.

Enrollment Process
We have two enrollment windows during which parents can register their children for before, after, or combined childcare services. These enrollment deadlines are set well in advance in collaboration with school administrators but typically happen at the beginning of the school year and right before winter break. Once an enrollment period ends, we review all applications to determine participant eligibility and ensure we have the necessary staff to maintain a 1:15 ratio. Priority placement is given to participants registered for longer durations, especially if we have limited space or staff availability. Parents can sign up for 4-, 5-, or 9-month terms.
