Full day and half day options

Full day camps run 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Before and after care is available from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM for families who need extra coverage. Half day options give younger campers and busy summer schedules a lighter alternative.

What campers do

Summer at The Recreation Academy is active and hands-on. Campers play sports like flag football and basketball and dive into STEM, including RC racing and building challenges. Every week is planned ahead by our coaches, who facilitate the activities, debrief with campers, and keep improving the experience all summer long.

Who runs camp

Every staff member completes FBI fingerprinting and a background check. Our coaches start at $17.50 an hour, many are education majors earning university credit hours, and every site is led by an experienced team member with professional experience leading kids.

Registration and early bird discounts

Registration for summer 2027 opens in January 2027. Early bird discounts last until April 1, 2027, so families who register early save the most.
